Tara O’Reilly is an award-winning, IFTA-nominated Production Designer working across television, film and commercials. Her Production Design credits include Season 2 of Irish Blood for Acorn TV, produced by Deadpan Pictures, AMC Studios and Shaftesbury; Season 5 of The Young Offenders, produced by Vico Films for the BBC in association with RTÉ; and the BBC series Video Nasty, for which she was nominated for the 2026 IFTA Award for Best Production Design.
Tara also Production Designed the award-winning short film A Better You, which won the Jury Prize for Best Production Design at the 2020 Sapporo International Short Film Festival and Best Production Design at the 2020 Kinsale Shark Awards.
Her Production Design work is complemented by a strong background in Art Direction. Credits include Visitation (EOne, Rumble Films and Blinder Films), Twig, Ballywalter and the Sky series The Midwich Cuckoos, on which she was Supervising Art Director. Earlier in her career, she was Art Director on Calm with Horses, which received a British Film Designers Guild nomination for Best Production Design for an Independent Feature Film, and It Is in Us All, the feature directorial debut of Antonia Campbell-Hughes.
Tara also works extensively in commercials, designing and art directing campaigns for Irish and international brands including Tourism Ireland, Irish Rail, Brennan’s Bread, Powers, Primark, Permanent TSB, Denny and An Post.
